You Are Not Just a Mom.
You Are a Person Who Deserves to Be Taken Care Of Too.
By Coach Mini | Certified Personal Trainer & Nutritionist | Founder, Riv Method
I want to start with something personal.
I lost my baby. At 39 weeks. Full term. And when it happened, I couldn’t do anything. I felt completely helpless — and honestly, a part of me still carries that. The grief of knowing that no matter what I had done, there are things that happen inside the body that are beyond our control.
But here’s what I decided: I was going to take control of the things I could control. My body. My health. My strength. Not as a way to run from the grief — but as a way to honor it. To honor him. To show up for my living child, and for myself.
That is why Riv Method exists.
The Truth Nobody Says Out Loud
Motherhood is beautiful. It is also relentless. From the moment your baby arrives — or even from the moment you lose one — your entire world shifts. Every instinct you have tells you to put your baby first. Feed them, hold them, protect them, watch them.
And somewhere in all of that, you disappear.
Not because you’re weak. Not because you don’t matter. But because nobody told you that taking care of yourself is taking care of your baby.
A happy baby comes from a happy mom. And a happy mom has to actually be taken care of — not as an afterthought, but as a priority.
This Is for Every Kind of Mom
Riv Method was built for all of you — not just one version of motherhood:
• The mom in the thick of it — running on no sleep, living in survival mode, wondering if she’ll ever feel like herself again.
• The postpartum mom — cleared by her doctor, ready to move, but overwhelmed by the noise of conflicting advice online.
• The breastfeeding mom — worried about supply, unsure what she can eat, trying to do right by her baby while her body is still not her own.
• The formula feeding mom — who is done being made to feel guilty and just wants to focus on feeling strong.
• The mom who is grieving — who lost her baby and is still living in a postpartum body, still healing, still figuring out what taking care of herself even means now.
You are all welcome here. Every single one of you.
What “Taking Care of Yourself” Actually Means
It doesn’t mean spa days (although, please, take those if you can). It doesn’t mean being obsessed with the scale or punishing yourself in the gym. It doesn’t mean having a perfect diet or losing the baby weight by six weeks postpartum.
It means:
• Fueling your body so you have the energy to be present for your kids
• Moving in ways that make you feel strong — not broken down
• Understanding your hormones so you stop blaming yourself for things that are biological
• Building sustainable habits that fit into real mom life — not some influencer’s curated routine
• Giving yourself permission to be a priority — without the guilt
Who Is Coach Mini?
I’m Sushmita — but my clients call me Coach Mini. I’m a certified personal trainer and certified nutritionist. I’m also a mom of two: my three-year-old who keeps me on my toes every single day, and my angel baby, who I carried to 39 weeks and will carry in my heart forever. 👶🏼👼
I understand your body because I’ve studied it. And I understand your experience because I’ve lived it — the sleepless nights, the postpartum body, the grief, the identity shift that comes with becoming a mother.
Riv Method is the program I wish had existed when I needed it most. And now I’m building it — for you.
You Don’t Have to Figure This Out Alone.
